Zara Mesbah

Zara is a solicitor at the firm, qualifying in September 2025.

Zara joined Philcox Gray Solicitors as a Paralegal in 2023, and undertook the SQE assessments.

Prior to converting to law, Zara spent over 10 years working in the humanitarian and development sector, working with civil society across the Middle East. This was primarily managing programmes in response to the crises in Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon, on issues of conflict, displacement, civil society space, and humanitarian response. This included working on child protection issues and with survivors of sexual and gendered-based violence. She has significant experience of working with marginalised communities and those living in extreme poverty.

Zara obtained distinction in the post graduate diploma in Legal studies with London South Bank in 2022. Whilst studying she volunteered with the Legal Advice Clinic. She also has a masters degree in International Development, and undergraduate degree in computing.
