Somaya Devlin
Somaya is a solicitor specialising in family law matters with a particular emphasis on representing parents and children in public and private law proceedings and regularly undertakes her own advocacy. Somaya is also experienced in financial proceedings where she uses her expertise of complex corporate and financial crime to enable her to deal effectively with all manner of financial remedy matters.
Somaya is known for her sensitivity in dealing with clients and commitment to her cases. She also has a particular interest in mental health, wellbeing and the impact mental health difficulties can have in family law proceedings and is trained and accredited by Mental Health First Aid.
Somaya is an experienced solicitor having qualified in 2002 with Levenes, initially specialising in employment law, before developing a commercial fraud and business crime practice with leading firm BCL Burton Copeland. She also co-founded and ran an Employee Relations and Wellbeing Consultancy before returning to private practice with Philcox Gray.
