Fixed-Fee Scheme for Divorces

No fault divorce removes the requirement to provide evidence of ‘conduct’ or ‘separation’ and replaces it with the requirement to show the marriage or civil partnership has irretrievably broken down. We recognise that getting divorced can be a painful and difficult time, but we will do our best to ensure that the process is as simple and amicable as possible. We offer a competitively priced fixed-fee divorce package for uncontested divorces of £500 + VAT (this doesn’t include standard court fees which must be paid separately).

Please note that not all divorces will be appropriate for the fixed-fee option. If there are financial or children matters to resolve, then these would need to be dealt with separately from the fixed fee arrangement. In these cases, we will be able to offer an hourly rate package which is tailored to your needs. Additional Fees (bolt-ons)

In the majority of cases, divorces can proceed without difficulty. If there are unusual aspects, such as your marriage certificate needing to be translated, having to trace your spouse, or simply your spouse failing to acknowledge receipt of divorce papers, additional charges apply. Work excluded from the divorce fixed-fee package

Please note that not all divorces will be appropriate for the fixed-fee option. The following legal work is excluded from the fixed-fee package and in these cases, we will be able to offer an hourly rate package which is tailored to your needs:

  1. Resolving any issues over financial matters or children;
  2. Any work carried out in representing you in a contested divorce;
  3. Obtaining a certified copy of your original marriage certificate. If you do not have this document, you will need to obtain a certified copy from the registrar (approximate cost £9).
  4. Any divorce with an international element.
